December 2011: More than 30 participants have successfully completed the training module Office Administration Level 1

In close coordination with the Indian partner organizations, the project management together with experienced FORUM trainers has developed curricula, training content and methods. In Bangalore, they conducted trainings in Office Administration Level 1. With the completion of this stage of the project in early December 2011 we have achieved three things:

1. More than 30 Indian participants completed the training module Office Administration Level 1. They have gained skills in office organization, communications, telephone communication, planning and organization of work procedures, scheduling and in Microsoft Office.

2. An English-language training manual is currently being developed. It will be the qualitative benchmark for future trainings in the area of Office Administration in India.

3. The foundation was laid for a trustful cooperation between FORUM, the entrepreneurs’ association eMERG (Engineering Manufacturer Entrepreneurs Resource Group) and the umbrella organization WeCAN (Women Entrepreneurs Chambers & Associations Network), our Indian partners in Office Administration Training.

We thank Jutta Overmann, William Silke, Mara Höhl and Ferdinand Schmorl for their excellent collaboration! They committed to the Indian experience and by adapting their trainings to the Indian conditions they have reached the participants of the trainings, with regard to content as well as emotionally. They have made this stage of our project a success, which has been reflected in the praise and broad interest of our students and partners.

Starting January 2012: Training of Trainers in Office Administration and Retail

In the next step, starting January 2012, our German FORUM trainers will perform Trainings of Trainers in Office Administration and Retail, conveying the developed training contents and methods to Indian trainers. Graduates will be certified by FORUM and will then perform first own trainings, which will be accompanied by FORUM initially.
